Read < 1 minute

At least four people have been killed and 20 injured in Libya. A suicide bomber targeted a security checkpoint east of the city of Misrata in the town of Es Dada. A mother and her two children are reportedly among the dead. The town lies in the country’s north-west, which is a region currently being controlled by the military Libya Dawn forces. In a separate incident, war planes from the internationally recognised government have been carrying out air strikes on the outskirts of Tripoli. The city is also controlled by Libya Dawn, while the legitimate government is based in the eastern town of Tobrouk. There were no immediate reports of casualties following the strikes.
