#1986Pictures: Yoweri Museveni was sworn into office in 1986. Where were Ugandans then?
Ugandans are preparing for the national elections to be held on February 18.
Nine candidates are competing for the presidency in what is essentially seen as a three-horse race between incumbent president Yoweri Museveni, Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi.
Social media users in the East African country have been using the hashtag #1986pictures to talk about what they were up to when President Yoweri Museveni first became head of state.
Museveni has ruled the country since January 1986, and will be in running for a fifth term next month.
Hilarious pictures have been posted, some showing people during their younger years, while some having no picture to post since they were not yet born.
