11 people were killed and 16 others injured when a truck ploughed into them in Zambezia Province, Mozambique.
In a report on Monday by state-owned Rádio Moçambique, the truck driver fled from the scene of the accident.
Zambezia’s Police spokesman Miguel Caetano was quoted as saying most of the victims were part of a crowd that was watching some two men engaged in a fist-fight.
It further quoted local authorities saying speed might have been responsible for the accident.
