Tanzanian researchers looking to make medical tools made from rubbish

Read < 1 minute

Tanzania, has launched a project that’s turning to rubbish for prototype medical tools.

Researchers believe that 3D printers might be able to make life-saving equipment, from some of the thousands of tonnes of waste that litter the commercial capital. They have been making early model parts of forceps, stethoscopes and even prosthetic arms.

Daniel Kijo reports.
