Nigeria’s opposition leader Mohammadu Buhari, is leading in the presidential vote count in Nigeria’s Election.

It has been termed as the most tight race that has ever been witnessed in the country since end of military rule.

Early results show Buhari holding a substantial lead over the incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan.

With only five states left to declare, Gen Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) is ahead by almost three million votes.

A victory for Gen Buhari would make President Jonathan the first incumbent to lose an election in Nigeria.

Results so far:

Gen Buhari: 13.7m votes;

Mr Jonathan: 10.8m votes;

Results from 28 states + Abuja
