Ethiopia gives Boeing 737 Max permission to return to its skies

Europe is set to lift a 22-month flight ban on the Boeing 737 MAX this week after reviewing submissions by industry experts and whistleblowers, angering relatives of some of the 346 crash victims, who say the move is premature. /VCG

The Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority has given the Boeing 737 Max to return to the country’s skies as of Tuesday.

The Boeing 737 Max has been banned since the 2019 crash of an Ethiopian Airlines flight that killed 157 people.

But the authority decided to grant a green light for the flight in Ethiopian air space after Boeing 737 Max took packages of fixes for safety.
