Nwankwo Kanu from Nigeria impressed the footballing world with his unpredictable and bamboozling footwork skills on the pitch.

However, a serious heart condition almost ended a promising career which immediately prompted him to want to make a difference in the world.

Through his philanthropic enterprise, the Kanu Heart Foundation has over the years helped to cater for over 400 patients with various cardiovascular ailments.
