Travelers from Dubai can breathe a sigh of relief following the lifting of a ban Kenya imposed on all inbound and transit passenger flights from the Middle East nation on January 10.
Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) director-general Gilbert Kibe said the ban was lifted on Monday.
Kenya had suspended all inbound and transit passenger flights from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in retaliation against a move by Dubai to ban all passenger flights from Kenya over fake COVID-19 tests.
The UAE banned all flights from Kenya on December 20, claiming several travelers arriving from Nairobi tested positive for COVID-19, despite having certificates issued in Kenya showing they were negative.
The ban did not however affect cargo flights.
