

Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccination drive is set to be even further bolstered with the expected arrival of 1.3 million doses of Pfizer vaccines.
The West African country has seen a recent surge in the arrival of the vital jabs as it aims to inoculate more people, with a focus on fully reopening its economy.
On Sunday, the country’s health ministry received 1.5 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines.
Another 1.2 million doses of the Moderna vaccines also arrived in Ghana on September 4.
Ghana has so far recorded 126,621 COVID-19 infections with 1,146 fatalities, according to figures published by the health ministry.
The country is one of 16 African nations that have registered more than 100,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
