Tunisian President Kais Saied removed Minister of Youth, Sports, and Professional Integration Sihem Ayadi from her duties, the Tunisian Presidency said Monday.
The statement did not clarify the reasons for this decision.
On July 25, Saied announced that he had removed Hichem Mechichi from the post of prime minister and suspended all activities of the Assembly of People’s Representatives, or the parliament.
Since then, the president has removed other ministers, including Minister of Defense Ibrahim Bartaji, Minister to the Head of Government in charge of the civil service and acting Minister of Justice Hasna Ben Slimane, Minister of Economy, Finance and Investment Support Ali Kooli, as well as Minister of Communications Technology Mohamed Fadhel Kraiem.
So far, Saied has headed the government until he appoints a new prime minister.
