Tunisia receives COVID-19 vaccines, medical aid from France

Tunisia received on Friday 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines as well as medical equipment and supplies provided by France to help fight the pandemic.

“Tunisian President Kais Saied stressed that those vaccine doses will be used as soon as possible,” said a presidency statement.

Saied added that the medical equipment and supplies will be distributed to all governorates according to priorities.

He thanked his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron for this aid “in an initiative that reflects the prestigious relations between Tunisia and France.”
