Namibia’s president, first lady test positive for COVID-19

Namibia’s President Hage Geingob and his wife Monica, are both in self-isolation at their residence after testing positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.

A statement from the Namibian presidency said the couple is in good spirits.

According to the World Health Organization, Namibia has so far reported more than 53,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and more than 770 deaths.
