Somali President Farmaajo pardons 179 prisoners

A total of 179 prisoners have been released on Wednesday from Central Prison in Mogadishu after Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo pardoned them on the occasion of Eid-Al-fitr.

Somali National Television stated that Attorney General Suleyman Mohamed was present at the prison to supervise the procedure.

Earlier, Farmaajo sent his warmest wishes to the all Somali people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The President also called on Somali people to support the vulnerable families.
