At least 10 people killed in eastern Burkina Faso attack


The Governor of the Burkina Faso Eastern region Lieutenant-Colonel Saïdou T.P. Sanou has confirmed that on Monday, May 3, unidentified armed men attacked kodyel village leaving more than ten civilians dead.

The Governor in a communique said, “many more were wounded and several concessions and granaries burned down.

In this painful circumstance, the Governor of the Eastern Region, on behalf of the government, strongly condemns this cowardly and barbaric attack.”

He further called on the entire population to not only be vigilant but also be in close collaboration with the defense and security forces (FDS).

Kodyèl is a locality located in the province of Komondjari, commune of Foutouri, in the eastern region.
