President Muhammadu Buhari returned to the Nigerian capital Abuja on Thursday following a medical visit to the UK.
Buhari left Nigeria on March 30 for London for what his spokesman described as a “routine medical check-up”.
Photos posted on the Nigerian Presidency’s official Twitter account showed the president disembarking from the plane and being welcomed by a delegation that included government officials and security chiefs.
No further details about Buhari’s return were disclosed.

The 78-year-old has previously visited London on a number of occasions for check-ups between May 2016, when he was first elected, and 2017 for an undisclosed illness.
Despite such visits triggering speculation about his health and ability to run Africa’s largest economy and most populous nation, Buhari won a second term in office last year.
The state of health of the president is a sensitive subject in the West African nation after former leader Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, died in 2010 and it emerged that his illness had been kept secret for months.
