Chinese FM Wang Yi holds talks with Turkish counterpart

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ankara, Turkey, for talks.

During the talks, the Turkish foreign minister reiterated his country’s commitment to the “One China” policy, noting that Turkey does not allow any violent and terrorist activities against China in its territory.

After the talks, the two leaders attended a photo exhibition featuring China-Turkey cooperation against COVID-19.

Afterwards, Wang Yi also met Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The Chinese Foreign Minister is expected to stay in Turkey on official business until Friday.
