
China’s most important annual political gatherings have concluded this week. Known as the Two Sessions; China’s top legislative organ-the National People’s Congress and the top political advisory body-the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference converge every year, to review the government’s performance in the past year & thrash out its’ priorities in the year ahead.
2021’s gatherings have been particularly important- coming in the wake of unique times in world history, as countries scramble to recover economically, contain COVID-19 and revive multilateralism.
