Antonio Sánchez-Benedito Gaspar, the European Union Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique, tweeted saying “First batch of 384,000 of COVAX COVID-19 vaccines arrived today in Mozambique of a total of 2.064 million doses expected over the coming weeks/months.”

Mozambique’s Prime Minister Agostinho do Rosário launched the country’s COVID-19 vaccination plan on March 5th.

The country has thus far recorded 62,909 coronavirus cases and 700 deaths.
