The Tunisians, who had a 2-1 advantage from the first leg in Manzini, won 2-0 at the Stade Olympique de Sousse in Sousse to claim a 4-1 aggregate win.

Veteran striker Yassine Chikhaoui and Mohamed Belhaj Mahmoud struck in the 79th and 87th minutes to secure a home win.

They will now take their place in Group C alongside three-time winners and fellow Tunisian side CS Sfaxien, Salitas F.C. of Burkina Faso and ASC Les Jaraaf of Senegal.

Étoile Sportive du Sahel will be aiming to secure a third Confederation Cup title following previous wins in 2006 and 2015.

Namungo, meanwhile, surrendered a one-goal lead to lose 3-1 to the Angolans in Dar es Salaam.

Sixtus Sabilo gave the hosts the lead in just the sixth minute but a double from Brayan Moya and a further strike from Mariano Vidal earned the visitors the win.

However, Namungo went through 7-5 on aggregate having secured an emphatic 6-2 win in the first leg.

The Tanzanians, who are making their debut in CAF club competitions, were placed in Group D together with last season’s beaten finalists Pyramids F.C. of Egypt, 2018 champions Raja Casablanca of Morocco and Nkana F.C. of Zambia.
