Kenya records 756 new cases of COVID 19

Kenya’s health ministry on Monday confirmed 756 new cases of COVID-19 from 4,316 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed positive infections to 63,244.

So far Kenya has tested 746,797 samples since March.

The health ministry said the new cases included 731 Kenyans and 25 foreigners.

The Ministry of Health also announced 728 patients recovered from the virus with 645 on the home-based care program while 83 were discharged from various hospitals bringing the total number of recoveries to 42,659.

The death toll from the virus has also risen to 1,130 after 19 more patients succumbed to the virus.
