Talk Africa: Is Africa ready to re-open?


It is now over two months since the first Covid-19 case was reported on the African continent. And since then, the numbers have grown exponentially. And as the virus continues to take its toll on global health, economic pressure is mounting and becoming a crisis in and of itself. Governments are now having to play a delicate balancing act; between saving the livelihoods of their people and safeguarding public health. But the Covid-19 curve is not yet flattened, so is it time yet to re-open Africa’s economies?
