Uganda registers 5 new cases of COVID-19

Uganda late on Friday reported five new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the east African country to 23, the ministry of health said.

In a twitter message, Minister of health Ruth Aceng said that out of the  227 samples tested.

“Ugandans, please embrace our guidelines and preventive measures. We can prevent the spread of COVID-19 together,” Aceng said.

The country has instituted a series of anti-virus measures including suspending public transport for two weeks
