Kenyan bank shows solidarity with China by wearing red

Staff from the the Standard Bank Group Kenya donned red garments in solidarity with China.

The move marks the Lunar New Year while expressing support for China’s fight against the novel corona-virus.

It’s also part of a global initiative where thousands of employees in 20 countries also took part in the “Wear Red for China” initiative.

Several bank branches made banners and cards to express support — activities designed to reflect on the friendship between the people of China and those across the African continent.

Bank staff also hope the concerted effort by scientists around the world will help to win the war against the corona-virus.
