Seven people were killed and six others injured in a road accident along Webuye-Eldoret highway in western Kenya, officials said on Saturday.
Kakamega county commander Bernard Muli said the accident that happened on Friday 11:30 p.m. local time involved a matatu, a trailer and a motorcyclist.
Muli said the motorcycle rider attempted to overtake the trailer when he collided head on with the incoming public service vehicle locally known as matatus.

The rider and two people he was ferrying were killed on the spot while four passengers traveling in the matatu also perished.
The county police chief said those injured were rushed to Webuye district hospital in Bungoma County.
