Top five Belt and Road projects in Africa

For decades, political leaders across Africa have developed strong relations with their Chinese counterparts, establishing bonds built on hard-earned trust and mutual interest. As this relationship has developed, so has the African continent, with various infrastructure projects taking place in a number of African countries with the financial support of China.  

Bridges, airports, roads, and other infrastructures have helped transformed parts of Africa, lifting countries into new phases of development and expansion on a national and international scale. This current surge in infrastructural development is part of China’s Belt and Road initiative, encouraging high quality cooperation and global connectedness.

So what does this look like on the ground? With China’s Belt and Road forum starting today, we a look as some of the most notable Belt and Road projects on the African continent.
