Members of the Chuanyu Association Kenya visited the Children’s Garden Home and School in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi on Saturday to donate a number of items aimed at improving the living conditions of children in the home.

The Chinese group (or Chuanyu Association) donated beans, oil, bedding, corn, pillows, and 750 pieces of clothing. Association members also handed out wristbands that read “We Are Family”, to all the children and caregivers.

“The whole world is a family. We would like to help you lovely children,” said Director of Chuanyu Association Kenya, Xie Guangqi. “We hope that you grow healthy and live happily. We also hope that the society pays attention to you.”

Mr. Xie added that he and other Chuanyu Association members would visit the children often and help out when needed.

Upon receiving the items, Co-founder and head teacher of Children’s Garden Home and School, Moses Ndungu, said that he was glad that Chuanyu Association had donated to the children, adding that he was happy to host Chuanyu members and that they were “all part of the family”.

Children’s Garden Home and School cares for around 300 orphans, they provide the children with activities, education, and accommodation.

Chuanyu Association made news earlier this year after they donated Sh1million to a community school in a slum in Nairobi.
