Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp is not worried about the scoring form of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
Salah has not hit the form that saw him win the Golden Boot for the 2017/18 season with 34 league goals, but Klopp is not bothered by the statistics.
The 26-year-old has 7 goals in the campaign so far, and has also created 3 for his teammates.
“It’s all good. I think he has scored seven so far in the league. Who has scored most? Aubameyang? And he scored twice in the last game. So nobody is 15 goals away from him,” Klopp said.
“The season is like it is, and we all have to start new. You can take nothing for granted and think things will be easy.
“He could have scored more with the chances he’s had, but there is nothing else to say. Just try and get yourself ready for the next game, try to do your best and then after the season you will get judged, not during the season.
“You can do that, but for us, that’s not really important.”
The German tactician will lead his side tonight against Burnley at the Turf Moor, hoping to narrow down the 5-point gap between themselves and first-placed Manchester City.
The Reds go into the game in red-hot form, having won five of their last six league games.
Turf Moor has however not been the easiest of arenas for Liverpool. They lost there in August 2016 and needed a stoppage-time goal to win on New Year’s Day 11 months ago.
