Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane return to Liverpool training

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane has returned to Liverpool for pre-season training ahead of the commencement of the 2018/19 Premier League Season in three weeks’ time.

The pair were given additional time-off following their participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup hosted by Russia. Both their teams – Egypt and Senegal – did not make it past the group stage.

The duo returned to Melwood on Friday and took part in physical excercises.

They will join other teammates in a flight to the U.S. on Saturday, where they will take on Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Manchester United in the International Champions Cup.

Liverpool also announced that Mane will near the number 10 shirt next season, which was previously worn by Brazilian playmaker Philippe Countinho before he left for Barcelona in January.

Other club legends have also donned the jersey before, including John Barnes, Michael Owen and Jan Molby.

Liverpool’s newboy Naby Keita will wear shirt number 8, previously won by Steven Gerrard.
