Egyptian football star on Saturday equaled the record of most Premier League goals scored by an African in a season.
The Liverpool forward netted against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, increasing his league goals tally to 29, five ahead of second highest scorer Harry Kane.
Chelsea and Cote d’Ivoire legend Didier Drogba was the sole record holder of most PL goals by an African, having scored 29 goals to help the Blues to the top-flight diadem in the 2009-10 campaign.
Salah is in enjoying an incredible season with Liverpool this season, having already scored 37 goals and registered 10 assists in all competitions.
Following his latest goal, Egyptian cell phone users will be a happy bunch after a deal was struck earlier this year between Liverpool and Vodafone.
The deal stipulates that for every goal Salah scores, Vodafone offers its 43 million clients 11 minutes of free calls.
According to Vodafone’s pricing of every minute of calls, 11 free minutes to every client would cost them about $140 million.
Salah still has six more Premier League games before the end of the season to break the record of most PL goals by an African.
