A gunman opened fire outside a Coptic church south of Cairo on Friday, killing at least 10 people and wounding 5 others.

Egypt’s Health Ministry spokesman confirmed the number, stating that the 10 included eight Coptic Christians.

Khaled Megahed says the attack took place when gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire outside Mar Mina church. One gunman was shot dead as was a security officer, he said, AP reports.
