The death toll from the mass shooting incident in Las Vegas has hit at least 50, with more than 200 other injured.
Police say the attack was carried out on Sunday night by a lone gunman who opened fire in an outdoor country music festival.
The gunman has been identified by law enforcement authorities as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, who hails from Mesquite, Nevada.
After conducting a search in Paddock home, police found several weapons, though there is no confirmation that the one he used in the attack was one of them.
The security officials have located the attacker’s roommate, Marilou Danley, 62, for questioning. They also found two vehicles related to the investigation.
Witnesses who were present at the scene say the first round of gunshots sounded like fireworks, and did not get much attention from the revellers. It is only after the second round of shots that the band stopped playing, with people scampering for their lives.
President Donald Trump has since sent his condolences to the victims of the attack.
My warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting. God bless you!
