Tanzania has welcomed businessmen from South Africa to invest on manufacturing industries to boost economies of the two countries.

Tanzania has welcomed businessmen from South Africa to invest on manufacturing industries to boost economies of the two countries.

The two countries are meant to sign three agreements on Biodiversity conservation and Management, Transport and Energy, said the minister of Foreign affairs and East African Cooperation Dr Augustine Mahiga.

The two countries currently share 14 agreements on various sectors and they hope to ensure the effective implementation of the strategies to meet Tanzania’s agenda 2063.

Mahiga further explained that both South Africa and Tanzania have agreed to cooperate in infrastructure and transport focusing mainly in the improvement of Tanzania-Zambia Railway and exchange program in airline sector.

The two countries share a friendship that dates back to South Africa’s liberation struggle, and they hope to deepen ties further.

South African President Jacob Zuma arrived in Tanzania last night for a two day state visit aiming to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
