PSG hosts Barcelona in mouthwatering Champions League fixture



The Champions League will tonight make its long-awaited return, with the first two games of the Round of 16 stage set to be played.

Portuguese giants Benfica will face off with German side Borussia Dortmund while French Ligue 1 champions Paris St. Germain will battle Spanish giants Barcelona.

Benfica finished second in Group B behind Napoli, and will have to go past Borussia Dortmund, who finished first in Group F which also has Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Legia Warszawa.

The Portuguese side currently top the Primera Liga and will; be keen to carry their league form into the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund on the other hand have been struggling in the Bundesliga, sitting fourth on the standings, 15 points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

In the other game, PSG will have to be at their best to overcome Barcelona, whom they have only beaten once in seven games.

The Spanish side have been victorious in the past three meetings between the two sides, and will be looking to extend that run tonight.

Both Barcelona and PSG are second in their leagues, but in great form lately.

With a second leg still to come however, the teams tonight may play cautiously.
