Selection process begins for AU commission’s new chair


It’s almost D-Day for six candidates, in the running for the position of African Union Commission Chair. Among them the current UN representative for the central African republic Abdoulaye Bathily a Senegalese national, Amina Mohammed, the current foreign affairs minister in Kenya and Botswana’s Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi, who fell short of the required votes, in the first elections in July last year.
