Riyad Mahrez’s Algeria is on the verge of elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations after it lost its second match of the tournament to Tunisia by 2-1.
The Desert Foxes found themselves down in the 50th minute through a Aissa Mandi own goal.
Tunisia doubled their lead in the 66th minute through a Naim Sliti and snatched the valuable victory despite conceding a stoppage time goal scored by Sofiane Hanni.
The results means Algeria, who drew their first game against Zimbabwe, are bottom of Group B with just one point.
Senegal who are yet to play Zimbabwe in the other Group B game tonight are top of the table with 3 points.
If Senegal win, they will automatically qualify for the quarter finals.
Should the Teranga Lions win their game then Tunisia will only need a draw against Zimbabwe in their final group game to proceed too.
Start studded Algeria may be readying their luggage for the trip back home despite being tipped as one of the teams to easily reach the latter stages of the tournament.
