Slovenian President visits Egypt


Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi hosts Slovenian counterpart President Borut Pahor in Cairo on Monday afternoon for a two day official visit.

The Slovenian President who is visiting Egypt for the first time was received by the Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation at the Cairo International airport.

The two leaders talked of enhancing bilateral commercial relations while addressing the media at the Presidential palace in Heliopolis, one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt, the capital of the 13th or Heliopolite Nome of Lower Egypt. The two discussed ways to boost bilateral relations in the various fields, along with regional and international issues of common concern.

President Borut Pahor met with Egypt’ Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Speaker of Parliament Ali Abdel Al, on Tuesday. The President is expected to attend Egyptian-Slovenian business forum in which 13 Slovenian companies participated.

The Slovenian leader extended an invitation to the Egyptian leader to visit Slovenia.
