Chinese firm helps school in Ethiopia address water shortages

A Chinese firm is helping a local school in Ethiopia address ongoing water shortages.

Ethiopia has been suffering from the effects of the EL Nino weather phenomenon. The Chinese project harnesses rainwater for the Oda Nebee Primary School. It’s about 30 kilometres south of the capital, Addis Ababa. Funding has been provided by the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. It’s a pilot project, and could be rolled out in other schools across the country.

Both staff and students have expressed their thanks.
