Former Kenya rugby sevens captain Innocent Simiyu has been appointed the new coach of the national team.
The Kenya Rugby Union has tapped Simiyu to lead the East African rugby sevens powerhouse for a period of two years. He takes over from Benjamin Ayimba. The 33-year-old was capped 121 times for Kenya over eight years.
Simiyu’s first test will be the World Sevens Circuit in Dubai in December.
