The government of Malawi has issued a statement saying that the President Peter Mutharika will be jetting back into the country this Sunday.
The government also dismissed rumours concerning the President’s health following his extended stay in the United States after attending the UN General Assembly in New York last month. Romour has it that Mutharika was undergoing some kind of medical treatment in the US. The government has said that the President is “very good and in robust health”

The 76 year old President has been out of Malawi since on September 16th, and latter seen addressing the UN General Assembly in New York, USA.
