Direct flights between Kenya and Somalia resume

Despite some very public policy differences, Kenya and Somalia appear to have reached some key agreements.

The two neighbours have clashed over the closure of Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camp, which is home to hundreds of thousands of Somalis as well as Somalia’s recent ban on Khat exports from Kenya. The Khat ban has since been overturned, and now a new agreement will see Somalia launch direct flights to Nairobi for the first time in years.
