Egypt is implementing ambitious plans to convert the new Suez Canal corridor into a trade and industrial hub.
The economic zone covers over 461 square kilometres, and it has been divided into four zones. China is in the process of developing part of the area for a variety of industries.
CCTV’s Yasser Hakim spoke to Ahmed Darwish, the chairperson of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, to find out what’s being done to make the area attractive to investors.
