Cote d’Ivoire’s star Wilfried Bony joins Stoke City from Manchester City

Cote d’Ivoire football star Wilfried Bony has completed a move from Manchester City to Stoke City on a season-long loan deal.

The Ivorian found playing time hard to come by at the Etihad Stadium under former manager Manuel Pallegrini, with Argentine Sergio Aguero always preferred ahead of him.

New manager Pep Guardiola also seems to prefer the Argentine to the Ivorian, a factor that is widely seen as the major reason for Bony’s move to the Britannia Stadium outfit.

The English Premier League’s transfer window shuts down today, and clubs are expected to make last day deals across the country to boost their squads for the season.
