EgyptAir voice recorder indicates fire on board before crash



The cockpit voice recorder of the EgyptAir flight MS804 that crashed in the Mediterranean last month indicates an attempt to put out a fire on board before the crash, Reuters reports sources on the investigation committee to say.

According to the sources, the recordings are in line with data extracted on the plane’s other devices, which indicate the presence of smoke in the plane’s lavatory and avionics system.

The investigation committee however remains open to all possibilities regarding the cause of the plane’s crash.
