Currency shortages in Nigeria preventing importers from purchasing gasoline


Fuel crisis in Nigeria has worsened as importers struggle to get dollars.

Long queues at filling stations are quickly becoming a regular sight in the country.

Oil-rich country’s main cities are facing acute gasoline shortages as importers feel the pinch of a plummeting local currency.

Reson being importers are struggling to get the dollars needed to make purchases.

State oil firm NNPC has also not been able to sign agreements quickly enough to exchange crude oil for gasoline.
