10 people arrested in raids against ISIL across Morocco

In Morocco, counter-extremist investigators said on Friday they have succeeded in disrupting an extremist plot, following a series of raids across the country.

Ten people were arrested during the raids on Thursday, including a French national.

Weapons and bomb-making equipment that were seized were shown to reporters in Sale on Friday, along with video of one of the raids in El Jadida.

Police believe the weaponry was brought from Libya and that rudimentary biological weapons were being developed by the group.

The raids were also conducted in the cities of Essaouira, Meknes and Sidi Kacem.
