President Buhari begins a four-day visit to Washington

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is due to meet with President Barack Obama in Washington. The two leaders are expected to hold talks on several issues, with the threat of Boko Haram militants likely to dominate.

Obama is due to welcome Buhari at the White House. The two will hold a closed door meeting at around 1500 GMT, with a press briefing scheduled later.
