Kenya marked 50 years of independence on Thursday 12th December
10 heads of state were in attendance
The celebrations began on Wednesday night as the President re-enacted the hoisting of the flag 50 years ago.
On Thursday, more than 10 regional heads of states and government joined thousands of Kenyans who braved mid-morning rains to celebrate 50 years of independence.
