Abuja international airport has reopened six weeks after it was shutdown to allow for repairs of the airport’s aging infrastructure.
Nigeria aviation minister Hadi Sirika witnessed the initial flights to the airport; Notably Ethiopian airlines’ new plane, the Air bus A350-900 which was the first flight to land there. However, full commercial flights will resume from Wednesday.
Local Nigerian airlines, including Medview and Air Peace, have indicated their decision to start traveling the Abuja route from Wednesday.
