China’s Foreign Affairs Minister expected in Tanzania today



Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi is expected to land in Tanzania’s city of Dar es Salaam for a one-day working visit.

Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Augustine Mahiga will hold official talks with Mr. Wang on cooperation between the two countries with a focus on China’s plan on assisting Tanzania realize its industrialization dream.

The two leaders will also discuss China’s commitment to the improvement of Tanzania- Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA), construction of Bagamoyo Port and the Central Line to Standard Gauge Railway standards.

At least 200 factories are planned for launching in the country within the next three years with China’s support, a move that will boost Tanzania’s drive to become an industrial nation according to Head of Communications in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ms Mindi Kasiga, reports the Daily News.
